The flat roof, which was last replaced in 1998, is being renewed and a protective covering will befitted to the walls. The aim is to keep the building in good repair for at least another 20 years, continuing to provide us with a home for our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. The cost \u2013 in excess of \u00a350,000 \u2013 is mainly coming from the Government\u2019s Youth Investment Fund with whom we&#8217;ve been working for the past year. The remainder is from our own funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work&nbsp;should take between 4 and 6 weeks depending on the weather with only the outside of the building affected.&nbsp;It&nbsp;is being carried out by Rascon, a&nbsp;local firm, who aim&nbsp;to minimise any disruption to the Group, the Parish and its neighbours. Our&nbsp;Thursday night meetings will continue as normal (or with minimal disruption) and the car park and Parish Hall will be open as usual throughout.&nbsp;If anyone has any concerns or queries, please let one of the Leaders know.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Work has just started on our Scout Hut.
