The Scout Group were asked to ring the bell at Holy Family on the 8 May as part of the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day. 3 Cubs and 3 Scouts took part ringing the bell 80 times in a relay. By coincidence just before we were due to ring the bell the announcement that a new Pope had been elected as was being presented to the public on the balcony in St Peters Square Rome so at the request of Father Henry who we preceded the VE bell ringing by ringing the bell for Pope Leo.
